About this session

Thinking about moving into Product Marketing, but not quite sure where to start?

I’ve been there.

I started my career as an engineer before finding my way into marketing and eventually Product Marketing. Nearly 8 years later, I’ve worked across different B2B SaaS companies, built Product Marketing from scratch, worked across GTM, positioning, launches and everything in between — and even built and managed PMM teams.

So I know that breaking into PMM isn't always as straightforward as “learn these 5 skills and start applying.”

You might already be doing work that's surprisingly close to Product Marketing. Or you might know PMM is where you want to go but aren't sure what skills you're missing, what roles to target, or how to position the experience you already have.

That's what we'll figure out together.

Depending on where you are in your journey, we can talk through:

  • Whether Product Marketing is the right move for you
  • How your current experience translates to PMM
  • The skills you already have vs. the ones you need to build
  • What PMM actually looks like day-to-day
  • How to gain relevant PMM experience before you have the title
  • How to position your resume, LinkedIn and existing experience
  • The kinds of PMM roles and companies you should target
  • Courses, resources and projects that are actually worth your time
  • How to approach your job search and transition strategically
  • Anything else that's making you feel stuck about the move

This isn't a one-size-fits-all roadmap. We'll start with where you are today, where you want to go, and build a practical path between the two.

Come with your questions, doubts, half-formed plans — whatever stage you're at. You don't need to have everything figured out before the call. That's the point of the conversation. :)
