About this session

You built a great product. So why does it still feel this hard?

You’re selling. Orders are coming in. But at the end of the month, the money doesn’t add up the way it should. Your ads bring in customers who buy once and disappear. Your agency says the campaigns are working, your marketplace numbers look fine, and yet profit stays flat. Every team does its own job, but nobody looks at how it all fits together.

So it falls to you. You’re the one holding pricing, marketing, operations, customers, and the team together, often late at night, often alone.

This is usually not a product problem. It’s a missing-partner and ownership problem. And that’s the role I take.

What happens when nobody connects the business

Most D2C brands don’t fail suddenly. They leak slowly, in ways that are easy to miss:

You set a price that looked right, but after delivery, returns, discounts and platform fees, every sale earns almost nothing. The more you grow, the more you lose.

You spend on ads before your website converts, so you pay for traffic that leaves without buying.

You chase every channel at once (Instagram, Amazon, quick commerce, influencers) and your team spreads too thin to do any of them well.

You keep paying to win new customers because nobody built a reason for the old ones to come back.

You hire agencies and freelancers who each follow their own plan, and the gaps between them become your problem to fix.

And you can’t step back, because the moment you do, things start slipping.

These mistakes are expensive, and the longer they go unnoticed, the harder they are to undo.

What changes when you have a co-founder beside you

I’m Kavea, a Fractional Co-founder for D2C brands, especially women-led ones. I don’t advise from the sidelines and leave you with a deck. I work inside your business as a builder and operator, and I stay invested in the outcome the way a co-founder would.

I look at your business as one connected system, because the cause of a problem is rarely where it shows up. A pricing problem can look like a marketing problem. A retention problem can make your ads look too expensive. I connect three things that are usually managed separately:

Your money: your P&L, margins, customer acquisition cost, and which products and channels actually leave profit, not just which sell the most.

Your customers: who buys, who returns, what they buy together, and where they drop off.

Your marketing and sales: your website, Meta, Google, Amazon, influencers, WhatsApp and quick commerce, and whether each one brings customers who stay.

Then I work across every team you have, in-house and outsourced, so your product, campaigns and customer follow-ups move towards the same priorities. Where a capability is missing, I help build it, brief the right partners and set up how they report back.

What I take ownership of

Product, Positioning and market fit, pricing and unit economics, choosing the right channels to win customers, retention and repeat sales through WhatsApp and email, competitor research, your revenue model, and the team systems that let your business run without every decision coming back to you.

Who this is for

Before launch: your product is ready, but pricing, branding, your website and your plan to reach customers aren’t. I help you get the foundations right, so you don’t waste your first year on trial and error.

1–7 years in: you’re selling, but you don’t have a clear view of your margins, marketing or repeat customers. I find where revenue is leaking and fix it.

10+ years in: your business is established, but growth has slowed. I help you find what’s holding it back and make the big decisions with an experienced partner beside you.

Why a fractional co-founder

You get the experience, ownership and commitment of a co-founder, without giving away equity or hiring a full-time senior leader. One partner, one plan, instead of scattered advice from five different agencies.
