I’m Dominique Alonga, founder of Imagine We Publishers in Rwanda and author of the forthcoming Design Your Life. My work began with my own need to imagine a larger future. Growing up after genocide, my mother helped me believe that the world was greater than the destruction around us. That belief became central to my life and the publishing house I founded in 2015. In 2020, after five years of struggling to grow the business as I wanted, I paused to work on myself and my nervous system. I became more willing to ask for larger amounts, pursue bigger opportunities and acknowledge my desire for money and influence. My business grew fivefold. I continue to build while living with chronic illness. I bring that lived experience together with practical expertise in entrepreneurship, institutional partnerships, writing and publishing.
