This course teaches how Git, GitHub, and CI/CD are used in real software teams, not just how commands work.
You will understand why version control exists, how developers collaborate safely, and how code moves from a local machine to automated validation using CI/CD.
The course is structured into 4 progressive workshops, starting from fundamentals and ending with real-world automation using GitHub Actions.
1. Workshop 1 – Git & GitHub Foundations
Version control basics, Git vs GitHub, local vs remote work, repositories, and why terminal knowledge matters.
2. Workshop 2 – Branching, History & Merging
Branches, commit history, time travel, HEAD, merging strategies, and understanding conflicts.
3. Workshop 3 – Pull Requests & Team Workflows
Feature branch workflow, pull requests, code reviews, approvals, branch protection rules, and open-source contribution basics.
4. Workshop 4 – CI/CD with GitHub Actions
CI/CD concepts, GitHub Actions workflows, triggers, jobs, steps, automated checks, and pipeline failures.
Total duration: ~12–13 hours
Format: 4 practical workshops with live demos
Students, beginners, and developers who want industry-ready GitHub workflow knowledge, not just Git commands.
By the end of this course, you will be able to work confidently in real GitHub-based projects, collaborate through Pull Requests, and build basic CI/CD pipelines.
